Anatomy of geometrical destabilization of inflation

We study geometrical destabilization of inflation with the aim determining fate excited unstable modes. use numerical lattice simulations to track dynamics both inflaton and spectator field. find that is a short-lived phenomenon negative feedback loop prevents field fluctuations from growing indefinitely. As result, fields undergoing are merely shifted new classical configuration corresponding uniform value within Hubble patch.
